Company Name: Elance Goal of the website: For a visitor: The goal of the website is to provide a place where people can come to find local local pole walking groups in their area so they can participate. They can also purchase Nordic Walking Poles through the shopping cart. For the instructor/distributor/retailer (Affiliates): The goal of the website is to provide a platform for them to promote their business. They would be able to have a profile page promoting their business, with a Google Map to their location. They would also be able to send a link with their affiliate code so people could purchase poles - and the Affiliate would get the credit. Project Description: Right now we have WP-Commerce, WP Affiliate Pro and Connections plugins installed. 1. WP-Commerce: hook up a payment gateway, put in the products (small number of products) with descriptions, test to make sure affiliate link codes work and test to make sure the shopping cart works 2. WP Affiliate Pro: Imput all affiliates and apply the different discount rates they get with the shopping cart, and create an affiliate back office area where they can see their stats and sales to customers, and download flyers, business card templates, and presentations that could help them promote their business. 3. Newsletter: set up plugin and place special offer for Special Report when someone signs up for newsletter. Link to newsletter program. 4. Calendar: events page where people can see a list of events in their area - so the list has to be searchable by city and province. Google Map integration would be ideal here. we would like affiliates to be able to log in and post their own local events to the events page to keep everything dynamic and current. 5. Business Directory (Connections): Every affiliate would be represented in the directory with name and contact information and perhaps a short bio. I found the plugin "Connections" to have a nice bio page with a google map option that is helpful. This should be searchable. 6. SEO plugin: needs to be installed 7. Social media plugin. 8.
